Adobe Commerce 2.4.8-beta1, 2.4.7-p3, 2.4.6-p8, 2.4.5-p10 and 2.4.4-p11 releases are Live!
We are very pleased to announce that we have successfully released publicly the following versions of Adobe Commerce PHP Core on October 8th :
2.4.8-beta1 – Beta version release
This beta version includes platform improvements, critical security fixes, GraphQL updates, quality fixes and performance enhancements.
Key highlights:
- Security Enhancements: Critical updates, including encryption key rotation and one-time password (OTP) improvements.
- Platform Upgrades: Compatibility with MariaDB 11.4 LTS and MySQL 8.4 LTS, ensuring long-term stability.
- PHP Support: PHP 8.3 is now required, and compatibility with PHPUnit 10 enhances the testing framework.
- Search Engine Update: Adobe Commerce is now optimized for OpenSearch 2.x and is no longer compatible with Elasticsearch.
- Performance Boosts: Optimized product caching and reduced query loads from upsell/cross-sell features, preventing performance slowdowns.
- Quality enhancement: Fixes for more than 250 issues included into Adobe Commerce 2.4.8-beta1 core code.

2.4.7-p3, 2.4.6-p8, 2.4.5-p10 and 2.4.4-p11 security-only releases
All the security-only patch releases provide fixes for 20 vulnerabilities that have been identified in any of the previously released Adobe Commerce versions.
In addition to the security-only changes Adobe Commerce 2.4.6-p8, 2.4.5-p10 and 2.4.4-p11 patches provides compatibility with Redis - version 7.2, see updated Adobe Commerce System Requirements for more details.

All the release packages Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source are available to download at repo.magento.com (via Composer). The latest Magento Open Source patch releases code is available at https://github.com/magento/magento2/releases on GitHub.
Along with Adobe Commerce release packages we have also published new versions of the following Customer First tools:
- Upgrade Compatibility Tool version 3.0.19 – available for Adobe Commerce customers only
Community Prioritization Process
The Magento Open SourceCommunity Prioritization Process empowers the community to influence the Magento Open Source roadmap and code base by letting the community upvote the pull requests that brings most value to them. We then pick the most up voted PRs (Pull Requests) to work on and add them to thecommunity dashboardwith a purple label - “Project: Community Picked.”
